Round 1 NEET Counselling Schedule: 

Tamil Nadu (TN) Health has officially released the Round 1 counselling schedule for admissions to MBBS and BDS degree courses in government medical and dental colleges across the state for the 2024–2025 academic session.

This blog outlines the key dates, steps, and instructions for candidates participating in the NEET UG counselling.

Round 1 NEET Counselling Dates:

The Round 1 NEET Counselling process starts on August 21, 2024, at 10:00 AM, when NEET UG candidates can begin registration, make payments, and participate in choice filling and locking. This process will remain open until August 27, 2024, at 5:00 PM.

Following the completion of registration and choice filling, the seat allotment process will begin on August 28, 2024. The provisional results will be announced on August 29, 2024, with the final results being released on August 30, 2024.

Steps to Participate in Round 1 NEET Counselling:

  • Registration and Payment: Candidates must register and pay the necessary fees to participate in the counselling process.
  • Choice Filling and Locking: Candidates will have the opportunity to fill in their preferred choices for MBBS and BDS courses. While they can edit their choices multiple times before locking them, once the choices are locked, no further changes are permitted. If a candidate does not manually lock their choices, the system will automatically lock them after the deadline.
  • Seat Allotment: The authorities will process seat allotment based on rank and reservation rules. They will declare the provisional results on August 29, 2024, and release the final results on August 30, 2024.
  • Downloading the Provisional Allotment Order: Candidates who are allotted a seat must download their provisional allotment order between August 30, 2024, and September 5, 2024, by 12:00 noon.

Fee Structure and Payment Details:

Candidates must pay a non-refundable registration fee to participate in Round 1 NEET UG Counselling.

  • Rs. 500/- for the Government Quota
  • Rs. 1000/- for the Management Quota

Additionally, candidates need to pay a refundable security deposit:

  • Rs. 30,000/- for the Government Quota in Medical & Dental Colleges and State Private Universities.
  • Rs. 1,00,000/- for the Management Quota, including Minority/NRI Category seats in self-financing medical and dental colleges and state private universities.
How to Download the Allotment Order:
  • Payment of Tuition Fee: Candidates allotted MBBS seats in any category or BDS seats in Government Dental Colleges must pay the tuition fee online via debit card, credit card, or net banking to download their provisional allotment order.
  • Reporting to the Allotted College: The allotted candidates should report to their designated medical college or institution by the specified date and time, with all original certificates and a scanned copy for verification. Failure to report on time will result in the cancellation of the selection/admission.
  • Certificate Verification: The verification process will occur at the respective colleges, where candidates must present their original documents in person.
  • Self-Declaration Form: At the time of reporting, candidates must submit a self-declaration form stating they understand that suppression of facts or misinterpretation could lead to the forfeiture of their admission at any time.
