Eligibility Criteria for Indian Medical Graduates:
Academic Qualification
Candidates must have an MBBS degree or Provisional MBBS Pass Certificate recognized under the NMC Act, 2019 and the Post Graduate Medical Education Regulations, 2023.
Registration Requirement
Candidates must have either Permanent or Provisional registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC), Medical Council of India (MCI), or State Medical Council.
Internship Completion
Candidates should have completed or are likely to complete their compulsory one-year internship by 31st July 2025.
Important Note:
Candidates who do not meet these criteria will not be allowed to sit for NEET PG 2025 or participate in the counselling process.
Ensure your internship dates provided during registration are accurate and final, as you will need to submit the original internship completion certificate during counselling.
Eligibility Criteria for Foreign Medical Graduates:
Academic Requirements
Indian citizens or Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) who have completed their primary medical education from colleges outside India must pass the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE).
Registration Requirement
Candidates must be registered with the NMC, the former Medical Council of India, or a State Medical Council.
Internship Completion
Candidates must have completed or expect to complete their compulsory internship by 31st July 2025.
Eligibility Criteria for Foreign Nationals:
Medical Qualification
Foreign nationals must possess a medical qualification equivalent to MBBS recognized by the NMC.
Security Clearance
Foreign nationals needing security clearance must obtain it from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, before applying.
Temporary Registration
NMC may grant temporary registration for the postgraduate course duration. Candidates must also have appropriate registration from their country’s medical authority and permission to pursue postgraduate studies in India.
Important Guidelines to Remember
Candidates currently enrolled in postgraduate medical courses should confirm with their universities regarding eligibility for new admissions.
Ensure the medical college where you completed your MBBS and internship is recognized by NMC within the specified timeline.
Application Submission & Edit Window
Applications for NEET PG 2025 can only be submitted online via the NBEMS official website.
After submission, candidates can make edits between 9th May to 13th May 2025. Certain critical details like name, test city, nationality, mobile number, and email ID cannot be changed.
Any deficiencies related to uploaded images can be corrected from 17th May to 21st May 2025, with a final correction window from 24th to 26th May 2025.
Admit Card & Examination Details
Admit cards will be available from 11th June 2025.
The NEET PG 2025 exam will be conducted by NBEMS at various centers across India.
Candidates are advised to familiarize themselves with their exam center location in advance.
Result & Counselling Process
Appearing in NEET PG 2025 does not guarantee admission. Admission depends on eligibility criteria, counseling outcomes, and university-specific rules.
